During the initial visit, we remove a small amount of the surface enamel of teeth. Then, digital bite impressions are captured. Our dental lab uses these impressions to design and craft custom veneers. Next, we place a temporary veneer to protect teeth and allow patients to get used to the look and feel of their veneer. Once the final restoration is received from the dental lab, patients return to our office to exchange their temporary for a custom porcelain veneer.
Metal-Free Restorations
We offer dental restorations like crowns and bridges using a variety of materials including gold, porcelain bonded to metal, and all-ceramic. While each of these materials has its own unique benefits, metal-free restorations may be the best solution for patients concerned with the cosmetic appearance of their smiles. Gum recontouring allows our team to remove a small amount of gum tissue reshaping the gums to create a more natural looking smile line. We may also recommend gum recontouring preceding the placement of a dental crown, bridge, or other restoration as this reveals healthy tooth structure to support a restoration.
Direct Bonding
Using the same composite resin that restores decay in a tooth colored filling, we can quickly and comfortably conceal and correct dental chips, cracks, stains, and gaps with dental bonding. For many patients interested in porcelain veneers, bonding provides a more affordable, one visit solution. We simply apply the putty-like resin to the cosmetic flaws, shape the material to fill in cracks and gaps or conceal stains, and use a curing light to harden the material in place.
